My name is Grace. I am your typical 24 year old. I have a college degree, a steady grown-up job, and amazing, supportive friends and family. Though I’m pretty happy with my life, I couldn’t shake this feeling that something was missing. I wasn’t doing what I set out to do with me life. I was set in a rut and convinced myself I was content with that.
Everyone has something they’ve “always wanted to do.” I say this phrase constantly, but often did nothing to work toward doing any of the things on my bucket list. Then one fateful day, I was out with my mom when I happened across two unrelated books that jump started my need to start crossing items of my list immediately. That’s when I came up with the concept of Cross It Off.
Cross It Off is all about not waiting until “someday” to have great adventures. Often we put it off because we don’t have the time or money or we think what we want is too far out of our reach to be anything more than a dream. But the truth is, nothing is impossible once you decide to actually do it. In fact, most of our “always wanted to do”s are everyday things; go fishing, take a pottery class, etc. Yet we still take our time doing them. Why? Part of it is fear. Part of it is that we assume we have all the time in the world. But why wait to start living?
Follow me on my journey to cross as many items off my list as I can. Along the way, I will share tips and tricks to help you achieve the items on your list as well. Even if your bucket list is big and intimidating, completing it is not impossible. All it takes is one day at a time. Make today the day you Cross It Off.
